As part of commitment to all communities, the House was honoured to be invited to participate in the Trans Day of Remembrance in November - the 11 international day of remembrance. Along with our sisters and brothers we commemorated those who have been brave enough to stand up and demand the right to be who they are - and not just an accident of genes or birth. It is sad that even in the UK, where we think we are tolerant and supportive of peoples' basic human rights, many of our brothers and sisters are subjected to the most appalling discrimination, abuse, violence and in some terrible cases murder. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!
